Showgirl Costume Photos: “Bo” crown and body chain

One of my favorite things to do is play dress up! So I am always tickled when I can just don one of my costumes just for fun, with no show to perform in.

These are photos taken by me, (yes they are selfies,) in my Showgirl headdress that I lovingly call “Bo.” This crown was inspired by a design that Bob Mackie did for the principal finale costumes in Donn Arden’s Jubilee! The crown shape is very different from his original design, but the “dreadlocks” are the same. If you are curious about the making of this crown and costume, check out the costume making vlog series I made about this particular costume. Also linking the live performance video of the Moonlight Frolic trio where I perform in this costume too.

Enjoy these shots! I know I did! 😘
