Recently, I got to play dress up in my newest Showgirl costume creation, the Behemoth. Inspired by the lovely designs that Pete Menefee did for Jubilee!‘s disco number, I had to have a yellow Showgirl costume!
I setup a whole shooting session and just played.
All by myself.
It was an amazing experience. Playing my favorite summer samba playlist, putting on my makeup and then putting on the costume that I made with my own two hands and parading around my boudoir in it!! Talk about a confidence boost!! I highly recommend this practice for everyone.
I had planned for it to be about an hour and a half shoot. But this shoot turned into 4 hours of fun!! I took over 300 photos, shot some Showgirl Story Time videos AND recorded a Frou Frou Fête video of me playing dress up.

Plans to get the history of this hat documented with an Inside Gazealous Studio series about the inspiration, process and stats of this costume are in place. But one thing at a time!! I will update this post when those blogs go live.
